From Albania to Pristina by minibus with driver

It takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes from Tirana Airport to Pristina, not counting the wait at the border. The route follows the Nation’s Highway via Kukes, the Morina–Vermica border crossing and the Kosovo motorway. You’ll find the fixed transfer price on the Airport – Pristina transfer page.

  • Departure from Tirana Airport, from Tirana or from any city in Albania
  • Your whole group and luggage in one vehicle, up to 19 passengers

  • The same minibus takes you around Kosovo and brings you back to Albania

The main cities of Kosovo

With your own minibus, Pristina is easy to combine with other cities in Kosovo. Times are approximate, from Pristina:

  • Prizren, about 1 hour 15 minutes: the Stone Bridge, the fortress and the historic center.
  • Brezovica, about 1 hour: the ski resort in the Sharr Mountains.
  • Peja, about 1.5 hours: the Rugova Gorge and the Patriarchate of Peja.
  • Gjakova, about 1.5 hours: the Grand Bazaar, the city’s old market.
  • Decan, about 1.5 hours: the Visoki Decani Monastery, on the UNESCO list.

Pristina Airport

Pristina’s “Adem Jashari” International Airport is about 15 kilometers west of the city. If your flight arrives at or departs from Pristina, we’ll pick you up or take you to the airport on request, and you can continue to Albania with the same minibus.

Many groups fly into Tirana Airport and fly home from Pristina, or the other way around: we plan the trip around your flights.

Frequently asked questions

Albanian citizens can enter Kosovo with an ID card or a passport. Citizens of other countries need a valid passport or ID card, according to the rules for their nationality.

How long is the wait at the Morina–Vermica border?

The wait varies with the season; in summer and during holidays, when the diaspora travels, it can be longer. The travel times on this page don’t include waiting at the border.

Yes, but it’s a long day, with about 7 hours of driving there and back. We recommend at least one night in Kosovo, so you can also visit Prizren or Peja.
