Route and travel time
From Tirana Airport, the road heads north toward Shkodra and crosses the border at Muriqan–Sukobin. It then follows the Montenegrin coast via Bar and Petrovac to Budva; when it’s faster, the driver may also choose the Hani i Hotit crossing. The distance is about 165 km and the drive takes about 4 hours, not counting the wait at the border.
Documents: every passenger needs a valid passport or ID card, depending on their nationality. The travel time doesn’t include waiting at the border, which can be longer in summer.
