Route and travel time

From Tirana Airport, the road heads south via Fier and Vlora, climbs to the Llogara Pass and descends to the coast. It then continues through Dhermi and Vuno to Himara. The distance is about 215 km and the drive takes about 4 hours, with views over the Ionian Sea on the last stretch.

What to see in Himara

Himara is made up of the new town by the sea, with the harbor, the promenade and the town beach, and Old Himara, the castle village on the hill, with stone houses and old churches. From up there you can see the whole bay, especially at sunset.
